Dear Chamber Members and Business Community,
As the Chair, for the Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce, I am truly humbled and honored to have this privilege to serve you this year in this important leadership role.
I would like to take this time to first thank our Chamber membership because without you there would be no chamber. I realize with the economic conditions that you have faced this past year, it has been a challenge. Yet you continue to hold on which is a positive sign.
For some of you your business is a dream come true. With your determination and hard work your dream will live on for many generations. I feel that Gary Ryan Blair stated it best, “Do more than is required. What is the distance between someone who achieves their goals consistently and those who spend their lives and careers merely following? The Extra Mile.
We, the Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce, want to continue working with our partners in the Town of Pembroke, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Robeson County and surrounding counties and collaborate with chambers within the region to go that “Extra Mile”. We want to continue to support existing businesses and continue to grow within the chamber with new memberships and increase visibility for Pembroke and surrounding municipalities.
For those of you who know me know that I’m enthusiastic about life and very passionate with every task I’m given. I am thankful for each day that I’m given and the opportunities that it may bring. I promise I will bring the same enthusiasm to my tenure as Chamber Chair, and I look forward to working with my Executive Board, Board of Directors and Ambassadors this year.
Finally I welcome your questions, comments and suggestions. I encourage each of you to wake up each day and look forward to the opportunities and blessings we have in this great community.
